Halloween History

Halloween originated in America when christains from Europe becan to mock pagans for celebrating their new year in October. However due to this the pagans roasted the christians on a spit roast (I'm looking at you Simpsons fans).

It arrived in Britain with migrating Americans about 40 or 50 years ago when most of the dumb brits didn't know what it was the first time kids came round trick or treating. Of course in those days kids actually made an effort instead of going round with no costume and still expecting to get stuff. However not everyone knew about Haloween until about 10 year or so ago, except if you lived in streets full of Americans, as the old people who tells these stories tend to do.
