About Us

The site was originally created on the 31st of December 2002. To be more precise at 23:30 (11:30 pm). Yes - that is only half an hour away from new year. What can we say? We love our work. Flash Dev is part of the MXL Developer network with already features well established sites such as JavaScript Now and VB Dev.

The idea of the site was to provide a community where flash developers could chat and share their problems and experiance with other developers. We also wanted somewhere where you could find open source movies and tutorials so you learn to developer your skills with flash.

MXL Developer Network's aim is to cover all areas of development so developers have only need one source of information. Flash is now an important development tool for webmasters (can you name a celebrity site that doesn't use Flash?), Flash Dev was set up as part of the MXL network.
